Elyda Carole (Allely) Bagby passed absent on February 27th, 2022. Carole was born in 1936 in Curtis, Nebraska, on January 4th – her mother’s birthday. Sharing each birthday and to start with name with her mom Elyda, she went by her middle title, Carole. The spouse and children quickly moved to Tekamah, NE, where by her father George served as the city dentist. Developing up, Carole was impressed, and teased, by her two adored older brothers, Don and John, and at age 9, was overjoyed at the delivery of her sister, Genie.
Carole enrolled at Nebraska Wesleyan College in 1954, in pre-nursing. In 1959 she gained a dual Bachelor of Science from Wesleyan and an R.N. from Methodist Hospital College of Nursing in Omaha.
While at Wesleyan, Carole achieved Kenneth Charles Bagby in her Intro to Biology course. They have been seated alphabetically from the back again of the place, the place they had the opportunity to share glances, and husband or wife in dissecting a useless frog. Carole generally remarked that she was baffled by this upper-classman’s fascination in her, but her pals would preserve her posted on “Chuck sightings” so she could conveniently bump into him all-around campus.

Their nomadic lifetime finished in 1964 when they observed their forever residence in Blair, Nebraska, where Chuck joined the Blair Health care Group with Drs. Rudy Sievers, Cliff Howard, and Les Grace. Rick and David savored the adventures they observed in Blair, and the spouse and children joyfully welcomed two far more young ones – son Jeff in 1967, and daughter Kathleen in 1970.
Carole loved the chaos and energy her kids supplied, and loved to obtain with other neighborhood moms although their youngsters performed out in the community (yes, there was a cowbell to phone them house for supper). She relished the mental discussions in excess of espresso, which fueled her electrical power for caring for her small children.
Carole was also passionate about serving the Blair neighborhood, and she stepped into several management roles in well being routines, unexpected emergency expert services, and civic companies.
She was a strong advocate for community health care volunteer organizations. In 1964 she joined the Blair Memorial Group Medical center Auxiliary, now the Burt-Washington County Professional medical Association Alliance, and served as its President in the early 1980s. Carole worked to organize the 1st three wellbeing fairs at any time held in Washington County in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
Carole initiated and led “Child Consider It Around,” a regional teenager-being pregnant avoidance method of the American Health-related Affiliation Alliance, offered in Burt and Washington County schools. Carole is preceded in dying by her partner Chuck her mothers and fathers, George and Elyda (Kennedy) Allely brother Don Allely of Greeley, CO brother John and spouse Shirley (Magill) Allely of Elkhorn, NE and sister Genie Allely of Tekamah, NE.
She is survived by son David of Lincoln son Richard of Lincoln and his relatives, grandson Brandon Mullen-Bagby and his wife Melissa Lee, and good-granddaughter Ruby Lee of Silverton, OR, and granddaughter Kerstin Mullen-Bagby of Lincoln son Jeff and his wife Melanie of Cloverdale, CA daughter Kathleen Coate and her partner Paul, and grandchildren Genevieve and TJ Coate of Bloomington, MN and sister-in-law Joyce (Johnson) Allely of Greeley, CO.
